Husqvarna T300

HUSQVARNA T300RS PETROL TILLER

By David Marks
The Husqvarna T300RS is one of the lighter of the tillers available in the UK weighing in at only 12kg / 26.5lbs. This makes it a relatively easy proposition to load in and out of a car and to carry it for short distances. It also makes it easy to manoeuvre when in use but the lack of weight does cause it to bounce around over obstructions more than heavier tillers.

The tilling width is a rather narrow 24cm / 9.5in but the depth is very shallow – the manual quotes the "working depth" to be 15cm / 5.9in. Compare that with a Mantis petrol tiller which has a tilling depth of 25cm / 10in and you will see that the Husqvarna has a very significant lack of tilling depth. The handles are foldable for easy transportation although they cannot be adjusted to the operator's height. The engine is a 35cc Subaru.
